Replacing the Thermostat Gasket <<  <   >  >> The gasket that comes in the FelPro kit is not as nice as the NAPA gasket. The gasket that fits is a NAPA 1040ST: There is a sticky backing on the back of the gasket to keep it centered on the thermostat housing: Make sure that the face of the thermostat housing is scraped level and clean. There is a round gasket that goes on top of the thermostat.
