Fixing the Brake Lights The brake lights were out, but the running lights and the turn signals did work. I figured the switch beneath the master cylinder was out, but this can be tested simply by connecting the wires together: Here is the switch installed: Here is the switch removed. A 1" open end wrench works well: For some reason I don't think this switch was original: I used the old switch off of Romeo. We'll see how long it lasts, but it is working fine now. I'm thinking that this is a NAPA SL134 stop light switch.
