Packing and Storing a 196 L Head Crank
I am going through the process of preserving the parts on Romeo, the 63 Rambler American 330 we got with the bad frame. The engine is very heavy, and I have no good place to work on it. I decided to disassemble the engine. It really is an incredibly simple engine. So simple that I might, possibly, be able to get this thing put back together. The crank is such a beautiful piece of steel. I packed and stored the crank by using large wire ties and a couple of pieces of plywood. I then sprayed the crank with lots of wd-40, and wrapped the boards with duct tape.
