Replacing the Rear Wheel Cylinders
The rear brakes were in bad shape. It looks like the previous owner replaced the brake shoes, but the wheel cylinders were old, leaky, and the right one had the bleeder valve broken off. I used part number WC34876 Raybestos wheel cylinders.
Here is a view of how the springs are on the right hub:
You can see the self-adjusting cable that goes around the spring with a curved, grooved tray:
The cable goes around and connects to the adjuster plate at the bottom:

I found this tool indespensible for removing the springs. I picked it up at Harbor Freight. I sure wish I had this many years ago:
