A New Head Gasket- Part1
There was some oil leaking out of the back of one side of the head. I wanted to take the head off, and I had a gasket for it. I also really wanted to look at the condition of the engine. As an added bonus, I wanted the head to be painted a pretty color. It was fairly easy to remove the nuts holding down the head. Probably too easy.
The engine has been rebuilt. You can see that the pistons have a .03 stamped on them:
In thi spicture you can see the exhaust valve is open, in the top of the picture. In the middle of the picture you can see the intake valve.
There is a channel in the middle on the left that goes to opposed intake valves:
