Sierra Antifreeze

We purchased some Sierra Antifreeze. It uses propylene glycol, which is significantly less toxic than ethylene glycol. Do be extra careful to flush out all of the old antifreeze, though, and don't mix it. For a public health statement on ethylene and propylene glycol, check out this article from The US Department of Health and Human Services. Despite some grumbling about the initial marketing of this product, it does appear to be a much safer choice for antifreeze. Can't please everybody, I suppose.

This site is intended as documentation of our experiences in fixing up our 1963 Rambler American. We put up the pictures, resources we run across, and documentation of our experiences, because we wish there was more of this on the web. There are many amateurs out there fixing up their old cars as well, and perhaps sharing our adventures will help. Copyright 2004-2008 FixRambler.com.
