59 Rambler American Sales Brochure

I scanned a sales brochure for the 59 Rambler American. I think this captures what is appealing about this series of cars. The 61-63 series was a body style tweak, but the wheelbase and innards were the same for the most part. I suppose the most interesting thing about this is that it shows that being stylish was being economical. The last page shows a 35.4 MPG average from Los Angeles to Miami. That is pretty amazing gas mileage for '59. Here is the brochure:

This site is intended as documentation of our experiences in fixing up our 1963 Rambler American. We put up the pictures, resources we run across, and documentation of our experiences, because we wish there was more of this on the web. There are many amateurs out there fixing up their old cars as well, and perhaps sharing our adventures will help. Copyright 2004-2008 FixRambler.com.
