The frame of our 330 was a bit too messed up, and we found a better car to work with. We will be using the parts off of the 330 to fix the worn out parts on the 440. This particular 440 has not had much work done on it. The body is in great shape, but the engine is smoking a little, and the front end is starting to show some age. Now, although the 440 hasn't had much work done, she has very low mileage for such an old car, so it is nice to see how a car that hasn't been reworked a bunch of times looks. Our first installment is a peek at the brakes. Here is a picture of the auto-adjusting brake mechanism:

This site is intended as documentation of our experiences in fixing up our 1963 Rambler American. We put up the pictures, resources we run across, and documentation of our experiences, because we wish there was more of this on the web. There are many amateurs out there fixing up their old cars as well, and perhaps sharing our adventures will help. Copyright 2004-2008 FixRambler.com.
