Here are the old points, which I no longer need:

Here is the mounted coil, along with the mounting hardware provided by the "peach can":

I had to create a jumper from the coil to the switch:

The chainsaw did start up after a workout of pulling, but it should start up more reliably going forward than it has in its past life. I'm sure my grandfather would be happy about this.
